Salvation

1. God's Purpose...Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to live a life of freedom and joy.

The Bible says::

  • God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die. (John 3:16).

Jesus said:

  • The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10).

2. Our Problem...Separation From God

God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery.

The Bible says:

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the gif of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Our attempt to reach God

For ages, people have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God. Our attempts can never unite us with God. They have tried all forms known to man.

The Bible says:

  • There is a way that seems right to a man. But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12)
  • But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)

No bridge reaches God ... except for one.

3. God's Bridge...The Cross

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. this problem. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people. He wants to have a personal relationship with you. He loves you and he died for you.

The Bible says:

  • For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
  • For Christ suffered once for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18).
  • But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8).

God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice.

4. Our Response...Receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive him by personal invitation. He has come to give life, and to give it more abundantly.

.

The Bible says:

  • Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20)
  • But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. (John 1:12)
  • that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10).

Where are you?

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now? It's as easy as A-B-C.

Admit that you have sinned against God.

Believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again for your sins.

Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
