After-Glow is for ALL young people ages ranging from 11-13. It is a ministry geared for those coming out of children's church that are not quite ready to move up to the teenage youth group. At After-Glow the preteens will experience an opportunity to hang out with other preteens and participate in the Bible study where they can input their views into the discussion. Most importantly they will get to read, hear, and then respond to the word of God! We sometimes have games prepared to go with the lessons and a light snack is served which also gives a little bit of time to fellowship. The preteens come back to class after the praise & worship service so that they have an opportunity to participate in the worship service as well as transitioning & learning how to and being able to be a part of the adult congregational worship & preaching service. Occasionally preteen class is canceled or will end early so that the preteens have the opportunity to worship with their parents and participate in the activities that are going on in the sanctuary (i.e.: guest speakers, revival services, communion service, etc.)
When We Meet:
Every Sunday following Praise & Worship in the Preteen Room
Once a month we have a game night including: (Pool table, Ping Pong, Foose Ball, Air Hockey, PS2, Xbox...etc) where the preteens join the teens in a combined game night on a Wednesday night from 6:30-9pm.
At different times through out the year we will take the preteens to events outside of our regular Sunday morning preteen class.
